Question about Critical Skills Employment Permit Application

Post new topic

Hello all,

I'm trying to clarify one point about Critical Skills Employment Permit Application, have searched www.djei.ie website (links below) but could not find an answer. Question is; Given my profession is on the list, is a job offer necessary before i can apply for CSEP, i mean can i apply for the permit without an offer? There are some websites saying an offer is required but since these regulations change almost yearly i wanted to make sure, also guide on this site (https://www.expat.com/en/guide/europe/i … eland.html) also says "Foreign nationals wishing to settle in Ireland for professional purposes can apply for a green card at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, provided that they have a work contract or a valid job offer beforehand." but this post seems to be outdated since CSEP replaced Green Card permit.

I'd be more than glad if you could also refer to a government web site with your answers/replies.

Thank you

Regards

dhon

The answer is NO. Primary requirement for applying for work permit is the employeers' contract. Please see criteria for eligibility section in this link.
