Living in Iraq - How safe is Najaf for English Expat woman?

My husband has the possibility of a job in Najaf as his present job is coming to an end.
Can you tell me how safe Najaf is.

Also what is it like for an English expat woman to live there. I can't find very much about it.


I know about living in Saudi Arabia as that was a second option before Myanmar.
