NATURE OF WORK
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and monitoring production
operations for safety, quality, customer service, and efficient performance. The Production Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
1. With production supervisor employees, provide safety leadership, guidance and training to all
production employees. Maintain SOPs and GMPs to insure the safety of all plant personnel, visitors, and
consumers. Perform and document monthly plant Food Safety inspections to insure compliance with all
inspection entities, and to maintain a superior rating with BRC.
2. On a daily basis review any Quality issues with all essential plant leadership, for the purpose of
effecting immediate corrective action. Develop preventative plans to eliminate future occurrence of
repeat quality issues. Report on a weekly basis, percent quality defects as a function of total units
produced.
3. Coordination of production schedules and manpower for current and future requirements, to insure
resources are adequate to complete the proposed schedule, to fill all customer orders completely and
on time. With supervisory production personnel, implement and maintain all customer driven
requirements for product attributes.
4. Review and analyze production, quality, and operational reports to determine causes of non-
conformity to product specifications. With Plant Manager, revise operating methods and procedures to
eliminate production issues. Revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure,
to meet shipping schedules, for timely customer delivery. Consult with Plant Manager and Maintenance
Manager as needed to maintain and improve production operations and product consistency.
5. Confer with Plant Manager to conduct supervisor/employee performance reviews on an annual basis.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
