Insecurity: the North and East of the State of Shan to be avoided

Hello everyone!

For security reasons, the North and East of the State of Shan, especially the Kyaukme District and Mong Hsu region are to be avoided.

Foreign nationals who are already on the spot or who are planning to travel to Myanmar, are strongly advised to keep away from these areas, more specifically the Sar Taut village and its surroundings due to recurrent clashes between the army and the Shan State Army-North.

Hi Veedushi, thanks for your sharing. I am planning to work in Yangon and may I ask you is Yangon a safe place to work? Any safety implication to other regions due to the recurrent clashes that you mentioned?
