Dear James,

i want to ask something important from you but in details.if a foreigner marry in one state in Brazil
then is it possible that he could apply permanent residency in policia federal of another state???
Actually i have married in Santa Catarina State but as i got marriage certificate from cartorio,my
company transferd me in Brasilia DF state very next day.

Now its very difficult for me to go back Santa catarina to apply my permanency,is there any way that
i could submit my case in Brasila DF policia federal? Moreover tell me is it necessory to take appointment to visit policia federal or i can visit without it?if i need to take appointment then what is the procedure???

James

You apply for permanency in the state where you RESIDE, so if you've been transferred (long-term) then you can apply in the new location, provided of course that you have proof of address.

Cheers,
James

James

You need to produce a rental contract or a bill for either electricity, water, (landline) telephone, or gas in your name.
