Just checked Holland America Line, their next stop there is 10/15/16.  Hope Manta is ready by then.  The HAL itinerary lists (Quito) behind Manta.  The ship docks at 5AM and departs again at 7PM.  How could someone get off a ship in Manta at 5:30 AM, visit Quito, and be back on the ship by 6:30 PM?  Sounds like a very tiring day to not see much.

The only way to accommodate that itinerary is if you fly from Manta to Quito, advisable to check flights schedule.   By land you have a trip of about 8 hr. each way.
