Hi Everyone!

I am an American from North Dakota->Seattle->Los Angeles->Miami->Amsterdam. I have been living in Holland for 4 years, and I consider myself to be well adjusted here. In fact, this is the longest I've lived in one place since I was nine. I'm happily married to a very tall Dutchman, and we share a house with our cat who has been with me since Los Angeles.

I try to avoid expat groups that do nothing but bitch about their current country of residence. Sure, I have my gripes about the ways of the Dutch which I sometimes like to get off my chest but overall I am very happy here, otherwise I would be living elsewhere.

I started blogging because I am by nature a big-time procrastinator and I found that blogging provided yet another means to procrastinate on things like my studies. What I didn't expect from blogging was meeting really cool people that I have things in common with.

Has it been hard to leave the US for Europe? How long did it take you to move? I mean the paperwork must be awlful isn't it?
