shipping furniture vs buying furniture when I move

Greetings,

Is it cheaper if I purchase furniture in the states and have it shipped to Switzerland (my job is paying for the shipping cost) or buy furniture once I'm there?

Please advice.

I'm not from the States so I can't be sure but usually Switzerland is more expensive than anywhere else for almost everything.

That being said, keep in mind that they might apply some taxes to you furnitures coming from the US and you might want to look into that additional cost.

That being said, don't be afraid, Switzerland might be expensive but it's also a very nice country where to live.
