Hi everyone,
I am a medical professional from India and will be moving to Bahrain with my wife and 4 year old daughter in September.
My employer has told me this is in New Sanad area ( close to Riffa, they say)
I would like to stay near my work place. Also I will be looking for a good preschool for my daughter in the area.

I will appreciate anyone giving feedback about accommodation( type, rental cost, safety etc) and preschools in that area.
TIA

Hi,

I would recommend that you come to Bahrain alone, go around places.. find a good place to stay, enquire about the pre-school, get to know a bit about Bahrain and then get your family. Also go through the below mentioned links which should give you an idea about the cost of living

Thanks a lot logicalindian for prompt reply.
I went through the threads....
I will follow your advice.
But bcoz of some reasons I will be visiting Bahrain alone only for 3 days so I dont think this much time is enough to have a definitive assessment of the area.
From the threads
I guess most people are based in manama, seef, saar areas...

Please give some feedback about the NEW SANAD AREA?
I will be comfortable in having fully furnished small 2BHK apartment.
Do you have any idea if these are available in that area and if yes how much is the rental?

Thanks and regards

Hi,

Good that your visiting before, you can go around and see your yourself, 3 days is a good time. I would not know much about NEW SANAD, but riffa would be a better choice. Just keep in mind that travelling is a main concern here in Bahrain until you get your license, so staying close to work is better.

Thanks a lot for reply.
Your opinion matters.
I have one query about preschools?
Are there small preschools say upto only level 1st in Bahrain? I mean small school with only 100-200 children.
The indian school is very near to my place of work but u somehow will prefer a small preschool? Any idea?
And will they accept my child in September? Between the session?

Hi,

Could you post the query regarding the schooling on Mums in Bahrain Facebook page to get a better response.
