Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself quickly. I am originally from the US (just outside of New York), but I haven't really lived in one place long enough to call it home. If I only count the moves from country to country, it goes like this: US->IT->US->DE->US->IT->CH.

My most recent move was a few months ago, from Milan to Zurich. It was a pretty dramatic one, especially since I went from being an overworked financial analyst to being happily unemployed. Since the move I have been keeping myself busy with a variety of activities, including learning Swiss German, skiing, painting, and writing. In addition to my private blog, I have started to contribute to www.shortcut.squarespace.com, which covers goings-on in several European cities. I'm still thinking about what kind of job I'd like to have next.

I look forward to hearing about others' expat experiences through this community.

Welcome on board Julie!

You've travelled a lot wow :) Have you located yourself on the user map?

You've reminded me that I must create a special page for shortcut. Actually I created one under a category called "international", but I received dozens of inscriptions from non-expatriates, splog (spam blog) in this category. I am really sorry, I promiss I'll arrange that very soon.

Take care,

Julien
