Travelling with a Permesso di Soggiorno, no Visa

Post new topic

Hi!, I saw a few threads about this but wanted to create a new one since my situation might be different.

I'm an American currently living in Italy with a Permesso di Soggiorno.

I'm planning to buy a plan ticket to go back to visit the States and I want to be sure it's ok if my flight has a transfer in Portugal.

I got my PDS directly from the Italian government here in Italy so I did not need to apply for a Visa.  My passport stamp is well past the 3 month period so I just want to make sure that the PDS is sufficient for any transfers I might have.

Thanks!
