Since this thread is (considered) old, the following information is not for the OP but for others who may currently be considering a stay of one week or more in Peru's capital.

In planning a trip to Lima today, I came across the following website, which seems to have some places of interest in top Lima neighborhoods such as Miraflores and Barranco, as well as other areas in Lima and Peru. Note that availability (and there seems to be plenty of it in the top neighborhoods) can be dialed-up for the current month and the full year....

Not all the places are cheap, but apartment living -- especially if applying a monthly discount -- has its advantages over mid-level hotels whose units lack kitchens and ample square footage.
