Hi everyone was just browsing and could not seem to find the answers I was looking for.

I am planning on taking an Online course for TEFL certification, but I am also not trying to get ripped off. Searching many sites its really hard to tell which ones are legitimate and which are not.
Does anyone here have any good experience from an online course they took? and what comany did you go with?
I am on a budget ( I know it sounds bad)
But I need an affordable Course.
I have lived in Vietnam for a year, Taught English without degree and certification, and picked up the language enough for lite conversing.
So I have experience and really Loved the experience. I had many schools sad to see me go.
This return I would like to have some sort of Certification and something more to increase my job opportunities and possibly pay.
I'm not in it for the Pay, Living in asia has opened my eyes to so much, I'm anxious to get back to that feeling and could say there is no other feeling like it.
So if anyone has any good leads or info to point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Fred

The online courses are generally not that great, but you might find a good one.
The best (most accepted) tend to cost more,

If what you posted is true (and I'm not suggesting it is not) then you already know
(any) piece of paper is only as good as your skills to prove it.

(My) method is to offer the first lesson (or day or two?) free to demonstrate your
value.   Only you can assess what they offer in return and (I guess?) that is why
they were sad to see you go.   And you already know what appreciation is...

Most only want the pretty certificate so they can charge their pupils (parents) more.

This lot have a range to suit your pocket:
