Julien

Hi,

I guess it's time to organize our very first 2011 meet up, isn't it?

Bernadine

Sounds like a great idea!

Julien

What do you think about a bring'n'share barbecue on the beach ?

I think it would be the most convivial option for our first 2011 meeting ;)

Bernadine

Perfect. We haven't done one of those in ages

Aatish

count me in!

vishalchandna

what say Saturday noon 15th Jan.??

musheer

Hey Julien!!

Great Idea! I was gonna pop up with a similar thread! Bring and share sounds good! I suggest we do it next Saturday, i.e, 22nd of January, as it gives other Expats some flexibility to fix up their schedule!!

I am very much looking forward to this :D

Cheers,
Musheer

zeina

I would really love to meet some other xpats and this would be great if it would be in the north?

Julien

Ok guys, I propose a "BEACH SUNSET MEET UP" on January 29th :)

17h (perfect time for a great sunset), at Trou aux biches, public beach -> in front of the police station.

Bring'n'share - I'll bring my barbecue and charcoal

This is an open event, feel free to invite your friends !

Paul Donaghy

Julien,

I am new to Expat.com and I will be new to Mauritius in Feb '11. I would love to attend the meet up but won't get over in time.

I really hope you can organise one for March as I would love to attend one - what a great idea and great way to meet new people.

Hope to seeing you all in late Feb/March.

Paul

musheer

Cool Julien!!
Finally we have a proper one after ages :D

See ya on the 29th :D

Cheers
Musheer

Hi everyone,
thanks a lot julien for initiating this. Saturday 29 January sounds good and if i got the gist of it, it's "bring&share" and/or each brings his/her own.
i'll try to drum up some support here in the west, we'll see what we can do....

rishi

hi juy it sound good to start our first meeting..count on me and will like to know time schedule.

regards Rishi

exactly :)

fanzila

Awesome, I'll be there!

niride.licia

i hope to be there with my 2kids, if allowed. what else can i bring aside from BBQ? Tnx for responding.

Julien

of course kids are allowed ! Bring whatever you want ... you can prepare a salad and bring a bottle of wine for example ;)

Amata

Count me in + 1 friend here on holiday. Julien, did you say bring and share or everyone brings his own food?

Julien

I guess bring and share is more convivial ;)

musheer

We all are gonna bring a lot of food, Maybe makes sense that interested expats can mention what they are bringing so that we dont waste food ( I am sure the drinks wont be wasted, no matter how small the number of the group :P)

Secondly, we would need some portable tables to keep the Food on. Anyone got those??!

sagoodboy10

normally we just put the food on sheets on the ground

Vinay5555

Hi everyone,
I'll be there, see you soon

This sounds like fun. I'll bring some soft drinks for the occasion (sunsets make me thirsty). :)

That's a great idea Julien, & seems to be ideal one. I'll be there.

harveyim

Sounds great.  Planning to bring the family (three kids aged 9,7,0).

Julien

WOW ! This is going to be the biggest Expat.com meetup ever  :)

Guys, if anyone can bring a barbecue, I think mine will be too small :D

Any idea regarding the music ?

Rod2009
