How to make a sponsor letter for my Indian Fiancee?

My fiancee from India will come this 2nd week of December and he will have only 20 days to stay. The purpose of it is our engagement and having a wedding in our municipality. He told me to make an sponsor letter for him. Is sponsor letter really important ? I really need help howto make sponsor letter.
