Two CIE questions

I have my CIE but I'm a little confused to which line I should be in when I come to customs.

Do I still go to the Foreigner's line or should I now be getting in the Brazilian's line??

Also some one has said to me that I will need to have my spouse help me with maintaining my CIE in the near future. I thought The CIE is good until I have to renew it normally. (Assuming I'm not out of Brazil for 2 years lol) Do I need my spouse for the renewal???

Thanks

You can stand in either line.  you will not need to worry about your CIE until it is ready to expire unless you move and then you need to notify PF of your move. As far as your spouse helping you, her Portuguese will help you communicate if you are not fluent in Portuguese.
