Turkish feeling unhappy in lstanbul

Post new topic

Umut_teacher

Hello Everyone,

l moved to lstanbul last week and l am already feeling unhappy here. Eventhough l m Turkish l feel like l cant fit into Turkish culture anymore.

l had spent eight years abroad; England, Saudi arabia, Dubai...

l was previously working/living in Dubai. Even though l didnt like Dubai very much, l miss my life there. l was using my bike to work everyday and it was safer to go out anytime l wanted.

l am thinking about going to my homecity and leaving lstanbul. Jobwise, they dont offer good salary here even though l am very well qualified and experienced.

l am wondering if  l am the only one feeling this way.

seems like you have personal  hindrances that have you "not like" where ever you go. you need to have a new outlook on life

I had same problems while coming from United States. Still missing life quality over there.

Very true, some people just can't be happy anywhere and don't realize their attitude is the culprit, not the world around them :)

Thats not true at all. What makes you think l am unhappy everywhere l go? lf all places around the world was the same then it would be pointless to travel. You can not find the same quality of life everywhere. You travel, try and i fit works you settle and if it doesnt, then you move which is what l did.

l left lstanbul yesterday and now l am happy where l am.

And thats called ignorence when you think Dubai is boiling hot the whole year. Dude, Dubai is not hot in winter, its cool and gorgeous. Yes l washomesick in Dubai when l got there first but after makingwonderful friends and settlingthere, l began to love it.

Every day another bomb in Turkey; so how can we be happy?

dune34

life quality lower than many other countries indeed, and getting worse but still we have beauty and goodness in every way, sometimes we stand a shitty job just because of good friends and enviroment
You can not ride your bike when you go to work, me too ;)) It takes 2 hours to get my office. think that everyday almost 4 hours passing me by but other things cover it up. Maybe I get used to it .But there are good people out there just try harder to find. When you find , it will be worth ;))
