Italian moving to England

Hi all

My partner is moving to England from Italy in January and we need to some advice!

How did you guys go about finding a place to rent and a job?

Renting without a job is difficult and finding a job without a home is also difficult. We feel like we're going round in circles!

We think she might be able to pay 6 months upfront but it's proving difficult to find a landlord who will accept that.

I live with my parents and am saving to buy a house, hence why we're not living together yet. We just need somewhere for her to live for 6 months until she is settled and we're in a better position.

It's all proving to be very stressful and any help would be hugely appreciated!

Thank you

Hi,

I suggest finding a job before moving to England as this is easier to set up than finding accommodation. Have a look on the popular job boards such as Indeed, Reed, and Monster. If she is looking for a specialist job, then maybe a specialist job site is better. xxx

Once you have a job sorted then you will be able to get accommodation as if you don't have a guarantor then you will need proof of job security etc.

Good luck! Keep us informed of how it goes!
