I’m a Spanish National, but from a very exotic offspring, and have been living in Norway for the last 24 years.

I kind off move around the place, meaning the planet, when its possible economically or whatever reason my be, so do not wonder if tomorrow I post from a different location than Norway, I am a bit of a travelling circus working and breading Arts .

Ok that’s all for now.

Welcome on board Morfeo :)

How many countries have you visited? We love travel stories here!

Morfeo

Hi Julien, :)

Well there has been a few during the years, but I must say that I prefer southern countries or continents, never been to the US I must say, I know it is very popular and many expatriates live over there, but the US mega cultural role world wide do not call me very much, I think I already have enough of the US as it is already.

Continents such Africa, South America/Caribbean, and some parts of Asia, are much more preferred , the lay back life style  together with a rich and ancient culture makes it a grate experience, besides suits me much better economically, and  it is a way to escape the stress and saturation that the everyday can accumulate when living lest say in occident.

Now living where I live for such a long time, with long winters, short summers and many cloudy days, makes it a perfect contrast that inspire me a lot, a thing that I use in my work and everyday life style.

How about you Julien? how old are you? what do you work with? do you born in Spain or England?

Ok, that’s it for now.

HI Morfeo,

I understand your position. Actually I am personally interested in the whole world ... if I could only get a chance to see what I'd like to see!

I am French, born in Paris, with Spanish origins. I went to spain several times when I was young. I've been in the US for a school travel (Washingtown DC and 1 day in NY that I will remember all my life), and I can tell you that american people are fantastic. Open minded, interesting, and easy going. Forget about the "clichés" and the politics if you don't like it, frankly people are really nice. Of course you can meet twats like everywhere else.

I first move when I was 20, to Barcelona for a few months. I was working for a startup. Fantastic experience, I didn't earn any money (it was a training period) but I wish I could have again the fun I had there.

Then I came back to my studies for a couple of more years. My studies finished, I left France for the UK and London. I was supposed to stay a few months to improve my English, but I almost stayed 2 years.

Then I decided that it was enough and I moved to Spain, Madrid. I spent a wonderful year there with my girlfriend. As she didn't finished her studies, we had to go back to France in September last year. I tried, but I cannot stand leaving in my country. I want to see the world. For professional purposes, I came back to London. Here I am.  That choice has been my best mistake actually. I have got problems with my employer (he didn't pay me). So I am leaving next week. Back to France ago. But I plan to go to Africa (in the Comoros actually) in a few weeks, for maybe one month (my mother lives there).

I am almost 28 now, I work in IT, my expertise is the internet ... and I want to see the world! ;)

Hi Julien.

So you are French, I thought that you were Spaniard as you spoke it perfectly.

About America I give it a rest, who knows, maybe destiny takes me there some day.

I’m 43 years of age, educated as an interior architect and designer, I had years working in the field until some very dramatic eves forced me out of my profession, since then I have goon solo, working more with the artistic side of it, such as paintings and writing, where there has been publish two books of poetry and many texts on the internet. I am not the successful type, I mean you will not see me on TV, although I have had some interviews on the written media, that was locally and related to my work as a designer, I definitely do not give interviews and are not very much interested in the media, that means I probably remind unsuccessful , However in this days I’m re-designing my personal web page, the link is on my blog: http://laplumanegra.blogspot.com/, it will still take some time before it is finish, then you are invited to see some of my works.

Hei, so your mother lives in east Africa, I have been in that region and to places of the coast of Tanzania such as the Seychelles and the Zanzibar islands, as well as knowing Kenya and Tanzania. Your mother choose a beautiful spot in the world, fill of enchantment and magic, the kind of place I definitely could think of moving one day. Let’s see what the future brings.

You should definitely go for it, and check up the planet as much as you can, although there are many conflicts around, it is a worthy and very enriching experience, that’s what I got out of it my self.

Hi Morfeo,

I am glad you told us a little bit more about yourself :)

Don't forget to add your blog address in your profile > personal and to locate yourself on the user map ;)

About the Comoros, yes it's a very nice place but the situtation there is a bit complicated at the moment. People are really, really poor there. It's a bit shocking when you are not used to it. But they are happy, and very very nice with foreigners.

Well you know it's not that easy to travel a lot when you're an IT specialist. Usually we're meant to be in front of a computer, in a dark basement  (I am not like that!) What I like is that with the internet we can work from anywhere in the world ;)

Morfeo

Hi Julein
I see what you mean regarding the Comoros, but Africa it’s also a place of contrast, not all are poor and un educated sure you have notice that, un contrary to the western media that only show as misery for they own sick purpose.

I will say what a poet fiends of mine use to say: “Some people are so poor that the only thing they have is money”

As you can see the are different ways of been poor, after years of straggle I rather have happy friendly poor people around me, and not all the hate and fake that hides below nice outfits.

Yes, IT folks use to have it that way, in some basement with little sun, but as you say there is all ways the benefit that you can work all over the world.
