Coming to Mauritius on holiday and would like to make friends

I will be in Mauritius around Christmas and would like to make friends. I would like to make good friends with locals so that we can exchange homes for future trips or just be long distance friends.
Even meet a few fellow travellers and just be friends. No funny business just expand the human network.
