Hi,
I moved out here 7 months ago and didn't bring my own machine with me.
Personally I'm planning to buy one when I go back to the UK and bring it back. I think that there is more choice in the UK and you can get better deals, but for servicing and spare parts as long as you buy a well-known name such as Janome, Toyota then you should be okay. I would buy an overlocker from the UK though as there is definitley less choice in Saudi.
