Hello, I am looking to relocate to Azuri Village in Roches Noires ,  Are any of you living at Azuri or know anyone who does live there?

Semoko

Its a great and very save place.

You will find some additional information on the site as someone else asked about Azuri. It is a very large development and a bit isolated. It is also fairly windy in that area.

I know it’s 7 years on but how did you move to Azuri go? If you made the move please let me know what it’s like in that part of Mauritius and the now more built up Azuri area

this is a very dangerous place that will attract criminals. in the long run, AZURI will become a ghetto for the wealthy people and property values will drop rapidly.

MRU 30,000,000 to buy a town house is absolutely crazy.

so, be careful if you want to live with wealthy people only.

What absolute nonsense, i have owned a place at Azuri for 10 years, its a very safe and lovely place to live. there is a real community vibe, i suggest any readers come and check for themselves this Saturday. There will be the annual Christmas fair to enjoy.

As far as prices go i suggest you checkout all the other similar developments on the island of which there are many now and you will see that with so much on offer and so much competition the houses here are fairly priced. I would however agree with you that there is a risk that prices might well take a hit at some point the future but that is more down to the huge amount of developments that the government is granting planning to. It is simply down to supply and demand and for the foreseeable future i personally see ongoing demand from Europe in particular where the political and economic landscape has changed so much that many people just want to leave the place that they called home.

Thanks Maine-Tucker. Is there a community webpage or Facebook that I can join etc just to gain further insights. Obviously a trip out to see with my own eyes is best but getting insider views is great.

Azuri is beautiful but expensive, specially considering that you are far away from restaurants, pubs, decent beaches etc….

All depends what it is that you are after so best to check it out for yourself .
