Following fashion in Grenada

Post new topic

Hi everyone,

Do you follow fashion trends in Grenada? Every country and every culture has its own dress code. As far as you are concerned, have you changed the way you dress?

Can one easily find fashion boutiques in Grenada? Are clothes expensive there? Or cheap?

What do Grenadians usually wear or like to wear the most?

Good topic.

I am a size 12 muscular female. Most stores don't carry any clothes that are large enough to fit me. I wanted to buy some black capri tights for yoga, but ended up bringing some that I bought in Canada. In fact, I purchase almost all of my clothes in Canada. The tourist shops might have clothes that fit me, but they are more expensive.

The local fashions are very "fitted" (skin tight). Jeans are popular, but I find them too hot. When I visit some friends, I will dress differently to respect their religious beliefs. I'll wear a skirt or dress and stay away from sleeveless tops. It's probably better for everybody that I don't show too much skin!

I like to dress up a bit when I go to town. Unfortunately, I still get (wrongly) identified as a tourist.
