Learning French/Postdocs in Bordeaux

Hi,

I am planning to move to Bordeaux in 3 months, where I will be working as a postdoctoral researcher (postdoc) at the Universite de Bordeaux 1. I have not been planning my move yet, but I have already started learning French and I would be interested to know what are the options for learning French in Bordeaux. In particular whether it is easy to find a private teacher, how much this would cost, whether there are language courses (in particular courses affiliated with the University).

I am also curious to know everything related to the life of foreign students and postdocs in the University.

I will appreciate any help/advice.

Hi

I decide to move to France more than one year ago.
I was speaking only in english and my mother language.
no I speak good also in french, i found on the internet small school of languages in Bordeaux. It was perfect for me cause i was working and I could fixt my date of course by my own. YOu have one the cheapest school but my frends which was there, they had to pay for all course and they could not fixt date for their planing, thats sucks. I had small group of 4 person and actualy i still plan to continue my classes here.

Sorry Kasiula you did not write the name of the school you did the french course it was a small groupe of four people, tell me sweetheart i need to know, im moving to Bourdeaux soon in may to learn english at Alianza Française
