Hi,

I am Shekhar presently in Oman.

I am planning to bring my family in the month of October-November 2017.

I am having a kid of 6 yrs old studying presently in 1st Std in CBSE Board in India.

Can he get admission in any Indian school in month of October or November?

Are there any Indian CBSE Board private schools other than Indian School(Embassy) where he can get admission in Mabela or Jiffnain location in month of October or November?

Thanks in AdvaNCE

Why don't you check at the School itself?! Give them a call and ask! That would be a faster option with realistic feedback.

Hi shekharnewexpat2014,

Admissions to any Indian School in Muscat, in the middle of an academic year would not be easy at all, given the fact that during the admission time itself it is a nightmare.

According to published reports, a record 4,761 seats have been allotted to new students for the academic year 2017-18, in the capital area, through a random online draw system.

Most of the students who were given seats were accommodated in the afternoon shifts, by creating more sections and also by increasing the class sizes in rare cases.

In the first draw held in the middle of March, 3,485 students were allocated seats in various classes.

The application portal has been activated since Sunday (April 09) for fresh admissions to all classes. "Parents need to take a printout of the duly filled online application form and approach the school where admission is required. Admission will be granted subject to the availability of seats", said the news item.
