Hi all,

I'm new to the site and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and my blog to you all.  I'm an American grad student at AUC working on an MA in Middle East Studies.  I also have a developing interest in journalism.

I've been keeping a blog since I first got here in August, and I wanted to introduce it to the site.  It's largely a reflection of my sights and experiences each day, but as I've spent most of my time in the past weeks working with different news agencies on the ground in Tahrir, I wanted to offer it to those of us who have had our travel restricted as a first-hand account of what has been going on.

All the best,

Tom

Toomm:):):)You are the greatest journalism ever,I really like your blog so much
Also i like other one so much which was talking about January 28th 2011
I have read most of this blog, but it is first time for me to know that protestors were banging in the hostels to ask for water:(:(I wasn't in tahrir on 28th of Jan:(I was shocked when i read that the protesteors came to your manager to ask about water
So did you enjoy it, I had a foreigner friend and he was taking photos for protestors and for tahrir square on 28th of jan, but he got hurted in that day on his forehead.
Really you did a great job, am impressed by your blog, you gave all the details about that day, i felt that i was watching a film:):)
Really I envy you, because you have watched everything alive, and you wrote about it with a great feelings, your feelings are delivered to me, I felt it from your words and by giving all the required details about what happened every minutes
Tom, really thank you so much for sharing that blog:):)you made me interested really, and thanks for supporting us to apply democrasy here, that wasn't done in egypt from more than 40 years as you said

Am really proud that u were here in tahrir watching everything alive:) and it seems that you are interested in politics, am i right?:):)anyway, i know for sure that you suffered alot here coz of the revolution, for sure you have really faced hard time there, but i think it was great:)
