How to bring your car to Bahrain

er... this has already been answered in detail elsewhere on the Bahrain forum.

I suppose if you are busy posting nearly 11,500 posts like this all over expat.com forums though, you wouldn't know that ;-)

No, not duplicate threads, being a moderator myself, we post these general topics on all forums so that members could participate, provide their feedbacks and more importantly, when we have several threads scattered on the forum, these types of general topics prove useful in gathering together information on one easily searchable thread.

If you wish to participate or perhaps just point out what seems to be important when bringing a car in Bahrain, please feel free, it will be most appreciated.

I have 2 motorcycles which are presently in Oman, with the plan to bring them in to Bahrain.

One of the motorcycle is year 2014 so this is not a problem, the other is year 2000 this is a big problem due to its age, Have been trying from October 2016 to bring this bike into country without any success, this bike was a special order, the condition of this bike is far better than some which are in use here at the moment.

I have been informed that any vehicle over 5 years old cannot be imported into Bahrain.

I HAVE MY OWN CAR HERE IN BAHRAIN

do not use southeast if coming from dubai!  i brought my car and belonging with them and they were horrible.  My tv was damaged and my car scratched

"southeast shipping llc" is the full name to avoid!
