Need help in Ecuador to find a Registered Corporation

Post new topic

swfloridagirl

I live in the USA and I have traveled to Quito many times.  The reason I am  blogging is  that I really need help to find out if my former husband has any corporations registered in Quito Ecuador.  He has abandoned his two minor children, and he does not take any financial responsibility.  His time with his children, is less than minimal. He has profoundly lied to his family.  If I can show that he is doing business in Ecuador, this will help my case here in the USA to enforce Child Support.  I really need some guidance.

In the USA, children have legal rights and it is the parents responsibility to provide and take care of their children.  I know that my former husband has, and does have business in Quito Ecuador.  I am interested to find out if he has any companies registered with the Superintendence of companies in Ecuador.  He would be the only stock holder. He is an exclusive registered agent for companies in Chili and he uses his lawyers address in Quito as his office location.  He is clever.   Is there a way I can search for this information, or do I need to hire a lawyer in Quito?   I hope some one may have some guidance.  Thank you.

Christine

Hi swfloridagirl, welcome on Expat-blog! :)

Your topic has been moved on the Quito forum for better visibility.

Good luck.

Thank you so very much.  I am new to blogging and I thought this
would be a good way to find information on how to do this research

My former husband is an exclusive agent with a Chilean company and uses his lawyers address in Quito Ecuador as his office location.
Carlos Leopold Crespo is his name and he lives in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and travels back and forth to Quito every 6 weeks for business.  I must find the Corporate Registration of his business.

Do you know of another Blog that may be helpful?

Thank you again for moving my post to a better location, that was very kind of you.

Best,
Pam

Hi Pam.

Hopefully members who are more knowledgeable on this topic will respond soon.

Have you tried seeking legal advice from a lawyer or solicitor on this matter?

Kind regards
Haf

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
Yes, you are correct I probably do need assistance from a lawyer or solicitor in Quito.  Carlos Crespo Leopold is a dead beat father.  Children do matter!  Carlos purposefully finds ways to hide and avoid not paying child support.   Someone needs to be a voice for children. Children have basic needs.
Carlos Crespo's spiritual philosophy is:  out of sight, out of mind.

Perhaps you could recommend someone in Quito who has experience with this.

Kind Regards,
P

What you are looking for is any Escritura de Compania -- in Ecuador a Compania is the business entity most like a Corporation in Florida.

I would suggest you contact the USA Embassy in Quito (http://ecuador.usembassy.gov) in regards to this matter especially as your ex may also owe taxes in the USA for funds he has placed overseas.  The embassy may also be able to provide you with possible legal representatives familiar with this sort of case to assist you claiming any such hidden funds -- and usually it is the party at fault who will be required to pay their fees. You may wish to contact the attorney who handled the divorce to assist further in this matter -- and with SKYPE and internet mail additional costs for communication would be less severe than they were in the past.

Good luck with your case.
