Brazilian Health insurance for foreigners

Post new topic

keelylyang

Hello! I am planning on moving to Brazil on a student visa, but one of the requirements for the visa is to have proof of private health insurance in Brazil. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for companies in Brazil that can easily set up insurance for someone who is still in the US? I don't speak much Portuguese at the moment, so most of the companies I've reached out to tell me to call them.

Alternatively, if there are any good health insurance companies back home that offer cheap coverage for Brazil, that could be a good option as well. Please let me know!

Thank you,
Keely

You will be able to qualify with a plan purchased in the US that covers Brazil. It is best to get one here vs there.

Reach out to me and I can assist with it.

Hi, I am currently in the same situation. What did you end up doing? Does anybody know if it is possible to switch from a foreign to a Brazilian insurance provider after arriving?

Thanks!
