We have been talking about loneliness when you are abroad, let's now talk about how to make friends (locals or expatriates) when you're living in Venice :top:

Which are your best tips to meet people and to make friends in Venice??

Thanks in advance for your participation

I've lived for two years in venice, and I can say it's not too hard to make new friends there, expecially if you're a foreigner ... We Italians have a sort of fascination for foreign people :)
The only thing you have to do is to hang out on a spring-summer night in Campo Santa Margherita. Is the meeting point for students and youngsters. Everybod is really easy going and everybody is always happy to talk with new people, Maybe a glass of spriz (the're really cheap, around 1,50 - 2 euro in the small bars in Campo Santa Margherita) helps against shyness :)
But, really, don't be afraid, yust sit where it's crowded, and oftens happens that people will start talking with you :)
If you are a student, go to the library at Le Zattere. You'll see that, during coffee breaks, it would be really easy to start talking with strangers :)
