Hi guys,

everybody in a certain period of his life has dreamed of US.
now that you are here! what did you like/dislike about this country ? this post is just to share your ideas about how did you find life in America...before, during and after immigrating to the most controversial country of the globe.
Thanks

I wish they had a citizenship exchange. where you could give up one for another. I would gladly give up us citizenship in order to reside someplace else that I appreciate. I am sure some people like the usa, it just isnt for me. I hate life here.

North America is just an illusion. It's a gigantic shop where you work and consume. They will show you 'lottery winners' to make you believe you can win. The reality here is that people are little better off than cattles, but they don't know they are in most cases. I wish I could be more precise about my personal experience in the usa, but I would not know where to begin. The post above, resumes the situation well me thinks.

PRO's

-possible warm weather (depending on your location)
-freedom to act how you want to, without others taking much notice (unlike Europe)
-relative high "quality of life"

CON's

-no national healthcare, and not for some time.
-no retirement for my age group. it will be gone.
-out of control spending from leaders who can't seem to do anything right
-gay rights=lacking
-having a bad reputation because of my citizenship-that I had nothing to do with.
-the amazing sensitivity and constant upbringing of race here
-the rednecks in the South--and they can be any race, so calm down
-a generally conservative society is what I gather from this country. unless you're in portland, oregon.
-poor education system
-fast food around every corner..... slowly killing us

The "CON" list could go on and on. They outweigh the benefits in my opinion.

i feel america has lost its direction. now the people here are scared to death as to what to do with their life since it got hard in a bad economy. most people here do not earn enough to life comfortably. we have no culture to offer anyone. nothing here about us is beautiful. our people are selfish and always thinking about themselves. including me, lol. we will hit you with our cars if you are not careful. we do not care about you. the only thing we have here is freedom. and that too is slowly going away. little by little we have more government control. we are slowly leaning towards socialism. very slowly, but true. i love my so-called freedom. as i have been to many places and would not trade it for anything, but i often want more out of life.  this country will swallow you and spit you out if you are not an extrovert and aggressive. you will only succeed in business if you stand out above the rest. only one tenth of one percent will. so continue to dream about the US.  i make over 100,000 USD yearly and own my dream home in the county suburbs, and i will trade it for a beautiful culture of people. there are many violent people in this country. from sex crimes to murder. it is almost legal now i feel. here women act like men. smell just as bad at times. a good percentage do, sorry ladies not all of you. men act like apes and children.anger drives most Americans now. but talk to them like an adult they will run and hide behind a phone or a closed door. we are sheep. nothing more.  all the great people are gone. we are falling apart and i want to live my peaceful life as i made it, but our society will not allow. so i will move abroad in a few years. we are overgrown fat spoiled children. nothing more. yes there are many very good attractive clean people here, but most fall under the prior category. many of Americans especially in the Midwest life as hillbillies. or rednecks. dress like a poor country farmer, even men in business. i do not like the Midwest. depending on where you are from, you may feel Florida or California a better place to live, new york will destroy a foreigner. life here will cost you more than anywhere on earth. so the more you make the better you will just survive. if you are free you probably live in a better place now. if you are not free at least you can be free while you struggle. peace to you.....................my advice to a future immigrant would be,,,,,,, please do not destroy yourself if you are a good person. there are many better places to live. this country will not accept you and try to cheat you out of everything you have and will have.  no lie. good luck. i know this because i was born here. i once heard that this country is heading down the wrong road. and if it does not turn around it will get to its destination..............................................
