Hi

I am hoping you can help?

My auntie is living in Ethiopia and has been for 25 years. She has just arrived home from a recent trip back to England to news that because she is over 60 years old she is no longer allowed to stay in the country and has 3 months to leave?

This news came from someone working within her school and we're unsure as to whether there is any truth behind it? I have looked everywhere online and cannot find any information about it.

I really appreciate any help or information you can give me.

Thanks

Hello

the truth is a big ? specialy in Ethiopia even authoreties do not follow the law and civil service people often follow half knowledge. Always double check, do not make decissions on one source of information!

1. visit the homepage of immigration, to check.

2. a resident is linked mostly (take marriage on side) to a work permit. If she is related to a NGO, this NGO should request a work permit, with this she can receive a resident!

3. She should make sure that she enters ET with a business visa, with this she can go to immigration and ask her self! The NGO must right her a inveitation letter, which she shows to the Embassy at her country to receive a business visa! She should not enter with a tourist visa and do any of this request at immigration.

4. She has a 25 years track record, assuming she enters with a B Visa and not a T Visa, she should request a resident for people having a special dedication to the country, for excamples Rastas use this request as well Ethiopian juews!

hope this helps a bit

Oliver
