I have taken a good look at the market here in HCMC for Hi-Fi items, (speakers, amps, turntables etc.) and to be frank, it's all too damn expensive. The speakers I want to purchase are literally double the price here than I can get them for nearly anywhere else in the world. The speakers I am looking at are $1000 in the USA but $2200 here. Can anyone let me know what I would be paying on import taxes and what ever else customs officials deemed fit to hit me with? Say for example I purchase in the USA and have the equipment sent over. I am not asking for illegal routes but some common sense answers would be appreciated.

By the time you pay customs, tax and shipping, you wont be saving a lot.

I would contact a shipping company and ask them.

I wanted to bring my power tools into Viet Nam and was told I could pay up to 100% tax on them.
