Good Morning

Please can I have some advice on the following.

I am a Mauritian citizen. Considering returning to Mauritius in the next 2 to 3 years with my wife. I am aware of the perks I receive as a returning citizen.

My 1 question is, My wife holds a European passport. By the time we arrive in Mauritius we would have been married for at least 3 years.

Is she able to get a work permit through myself? If so, is it ever possible? Maybe there is a certain time period she needs to reside on the island? Maybe only within my own company?

Thank you for any assistance. I hope somebody can conclusively answer this question as I am sure many Mauritians are faced with this problem.

Kindly
Mike

Being on a spousal permit grants her  employment eligibility as a local.

Hi Mike,
I'm a returning citizen myself.

Are you legally married? If yes, your wife can apply for residence as your spouse which will entitle her to work without requiring a work permit. After some time, she can apply for citizenship.

Check the diaspora scheme as well. Get a professional to assist you.

GJ
