Good day. I just want to ask if someone experience or is it possible that MOM text message and employer's EPOL did not match?

I have a rejected SPass due to low salary and appealed with higher salary. After 18 days I received a message from MOM saying that they need more time to review the appeal for another 3 weeks. After 10 days I received a message from MOM stating that the appeal is rejected, but upon checking with my HR they told me that EPOL status is still appeal pending.

Thank you.

MoM does not normally send information by text message (SMS) - and in any case they only converse with the applicant (which is the company), not the job seeker.
Your employer should contact MoM to find out the actual status.

I think the HR put my contact number upon applying. Since my Spass status rejection is also sent to me by text message. I am really confused right now why I received that message when in Employer's Epol it is still pending. They told me they will call MoM to verify.

Thank you.

It is not the employer's EPOL - you can log in and check the status yourself with your FIN number.

Hi guys, I just need your help. In my case I was applied for S pass last August 18, 2017 then it got rejected then they appeal on September 6, 2017, in EPonline it states that it is still rejected but the company said that its now still pending, I submitted all needed requirements so I think it should be okay or maybe its in the company's part that has a problem and they said I just have to wait. But I am worried that it would be rejected again. But in the other hand there is another company that contacted me and willing to process my application. it is much bigger company so my question is if i choose to withdraw my application from the company A, and accept the offer from company B, is there a big chance for me to get approved? I really dont know what to do now. Is there anyone out there with the same case as mine? Thank you

You can ask the first company to cancel the apllication/appeal. After that, the second company can apply for an S-Pass. That is your decision and risk to take: There is no guarantee that the second pass will be approved.

Thank you for your reply. Is there a big chance for approval if the company is big company or well established, because some say if you came from rejected, most probably you will get rejected again? is it true or it doesn't matter? Or is it better to wait for the result of company A?

MoM assesses each and every application on its own merit.
Thus if the rejection reason of your first application was you (and you haven't done anything to change that), then you will get rejected again, but if it is the company (and the new company fulfills the requirements) then you might be approved.

Okay. I am worried for company A that it will take months to approve because it is appeal right?

beppi

I have no indication that appeals take longer than new applications. I actually would expect it the other way round, but in reality the time MoM takes to process seems to be random.
