Hi, i have finally talked my wife in to moving to Spain, with a few conditions!!!! .firstly we can't sell our house here as we want to leave it for our Daughter, this of course is a bit of a hurdle,as we don't have enough savings to buy somewhere in Spain, also she wants to move to Malaga,as we have a few friends there. I currently work as a driver/handyman/security for a wealthy family in London and my wife is a teaching assistant, doe's anyone have any idea if i will be able to find a similar job? I am sure my wife will be able to find a job teaching english but i am not sure about my chances, any advice or leads will be greatly appreciated.,would also love to hear from anyone who has moved in similar circumstances. Many Thanks John

If you were a friend or family, from what at you have posted, I would say stay where you are.

However,  you say you have friends in Malaga.  I suggest you chat with them.  They know you and your circumstance so should be able to give you more to-the-point advice.

Thanks for your advice, a lot of people have said the same, jobs hard to find, low pay, etc , i still want to give it a go but as i am no spring chicken, i need a plan, 30 years ago i would have just got a flight and worried about the rest when i got there!! Thanks again and all the best
