Meeting others

Post new topic

Shamooowne

Hi guys

I know this is ironic as I'm on an expat meetup site, but the meetups are not very often - the ones I'm interested in.  What are some other ways to meet people here?

I'm 25 years old, interested in fitness, art and wanna find some people to socialise with!

If you want to meet locals, go to a park or coffee house. If you want to meet other expats, suggest you join website call Internations.org, they have frequent gatherings.

Hi Shamooowne,

If you don't mind you could create mingling groups of locals and expats for frequent meetings as to exchange information and learn more about others' cultures, lifestyles  ;)

I would add that joining Internations is free, but you pay to join events. At these, almost more than half will be locals seeking to socialise and network and some to practise speaking English.

And some to try and sell you property.  :idontagree:

Eodmatt  yup  with property so hot these days, definitely a nice location to trap some gullible soul with charms and wit. Fully agree.

As a local, really sorry to know that other locals try to make advantage of meeting expats during kind of get-together or meet-up for business such as property sale, it's really unprofessional, but at least I'm not among them  ;)
