Fox News Cut from Big TV Programming Sept 19 2017

Today, Big TV cut Fox News from its programming, which was previously on channel 557.  I called Customer Call Center, 1-500-595, to ask if it was true.  I was told ... "Big TV cut Fox News because they do not have an engagement with Fox News."  I asked what engagement meant in this situation, and was told it was difficult to explain.  I asked to speak to the Supervisor and was told the Supervisor was not yet in (at 10:30 AM).  As I was still not pleased with the response, the man told me he would compensate my loss by offering a movie or two, maybe a movie package.  I said I have all the movies I want, and that I only want Fox News to be returned.  I'm hoping there will be a loud and strong complaint from Fox News viewers that might convince Big TV to renew an "engagement" with Fox News.

It's most likely a commercial thing where they cut because of too few people watching it.
I watch from time to time but I find the content to be very poor quality.

I watch other news programs as well, but I certainly do not like programs taken away unannounced, and especially when I've already paid for my package.  Also, they apologized that they did not notify their customers before they pulled the program.  Disingenuous.

:lol::lol::lol:

I can't stomach Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson either, Fred!   :lol:

Sorry Ray, I just couldn't resist.   :D

Cheers!

No worries, Ubudian.  I can't watch those two either.  However, there are some programs I like, and I also need both CNN and Fox to get all the facts for US news.  I mainly just don't like deletions of paid programs.

Glad to hear "no worries."

Cheers!

Fred

I was attempting to be subtle but I've clearly been busted. Frankly, I can't stand the style Fox uses and really dislike the presenters.
However, much as I dislike it, it seems to have been sold as a package and that should be addressed by the supplier.
One note, there may be some clause in the small print about availability of service so watch out for that one to make sure you're on solid ground to complain.

I do like to watch both CNN and Fox News because they sort of balance each other out but I would rather lose CNN than Fox because these days they presenters like Don Lemon make me cringe with his continuous attacks in virtually every sentence he lets out. I liked the CNN of old. Ray, I take it that you're going to miss Shannon Bream?
