Hello everyone,

What are the most expensive cities to live in Israel? What are the costs of things such as rent, utilities, weekly groceries, dining out, etc.?

What is the lifestyle like in these cities, for expats and locals?

What are the different neighbourhoods like? Are there more affordable areas?

Do you have any experience living in any of Israel's most expensive cities? What was it like?

Which cities in Israel would you recommend? Are there any that offer particularly good value for money when it comes to cost of living?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla,

Hi. Well your questions are all over the place. It would be easier to reply if I could understand what are you after.
The most expensive cities are Tel Aviv, Cesearia, Hertzeliya then Raanana and Jerusalem
Like any other countries Israel have different types and classes of neighborhoods
Grocery would be relatively the same cost everywhere as you have some chains of supermarkets and of course the best options is the market, cheaper fresher better.

You also need to understand that Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are completely two different types of cities all together.

Explain what is your purpose and maybe I can be of a better help

Fred

Thanks for your reply.
The OP is a senior moderator of this site and her intention is to ask questions that could be of general help to new arrivals in Israel.
Topics are often created on any given forum to promote activity and be of general help to expats in any given country.
The Israeli section is one of the quietest on this forum so we're very happy a new member has joined and answered.

Welcome in and thanks again for your reply.  :)

Yeh that's b/c everyone is on FB LOL Over there you can't shut them up LOL

Fred

Sad as it is, the Israel section is very quiet so we really want to encourage new members to join us in order to assist all expats who move to that country.
This is a mutual help platform so we really need as many people as possible to share experiences.

Thanks for being with us on Expat.com. :)
