Hello everyone,

What are the most expensive cities to live in Slovenia? What are the costs of things such as rent, utilities, weekly groceries, dining out, etc.?

What is the lifestyle like in these cities, for expats and locals?

What are the different neighbourhoods like? Are there more affordable areas?

Do you have any experience living in any of Slovenia's most expensive cities? What was it like?

Which cities in Slovenia would you recommend? Are there any that offer particularly good value for money when it comes to cost of living?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

Workism

Hello Priscilla,

well, Im living in Novo mesto so I have an insight into life in Slovenia. The most expensive is definitely Ljubljana and the coast. Novo mesto is not that far with prices but its boring if you are not for calm life.
Lets say that for one-bedroom apartment you need around 400e for rent and utilities (except in villages and very small cities). (Big) groceries are not expensive because there are so many so they compete in prices. When its about dining and going out its a huge diversity, it depends what do u want. Ljubljana offers the most and the other cities ... well, pretty much arranged, calm and quiet. If u want to find out more just type workism.tumblr and of course, if u have some more Q, just ask.
