Kellogs have Disappeared!

Post new topic

jezer

I don't wake up in time to eat out, and I'm missing my Kellogs. Anyone know why they have disappeared? Are they coming back? I don't buy anything by Nestle on moral grounds so I'm pretty stuffed (also their cornflakes taste like soggy cardboard).

Dissapointed as Vietnam is supposed to be a socialist country, but have chosen to exclusively stock one of the most morally ambivelent companies the world has ever seen. A poster boy for the evils of capitalism. All seems symbolic to the direction the country is going.

Most of the Shop and Go convenience stores carry Kellogg's Corn Flakes.  I just bought a box today at the one on Cao Thang.

Veggy's carries a very wide range of breakfast cereals.

Thanks, but they only have them while stocks last. They last longer in convenience/specialist stores because they're more expensive there. I'll scrounge around for some, maybe they'll come back. Who knows!

I am sharing with you, Jezer. The fact is that Kellogs is disappeared was really piss my husband off.
And, That may be something behind the scenes since Vietnam always forbid what they can not control :)

I could have sworn Metro had Kellogs.

What kind of Kellogg's are you looking for?  I've seen Special K at Select Mart in Vincom Center.

I understand now (sort of).  For those who don't understand, Jezer is talking about state subsidization.  Here's a recent article.

I can't find any news to confirm this, but I figure Nestle, who has made a few questionable decisions in the past, has agreed to supply Vietnam with it's products at a lower price than that of Kellogg's.

Sorry I made light of the situation Jezer!  Good luck.
