Money transfers from the uk to the Philippines

Hi guys,
My name is Brendan and my partner Joann and I are going to Cebu at the end of October to get a feel for the Philippines with the intention of staying if we like it.
We've done plenty of research and followed quite a few blogs on YouTube so we have quite a good idea of what to expect when we arrive from the UK.
The only thing we have not found out yet, even though we have searched the net, is what is the best way ( cheapest ) to send cash to the Philippines .
Can anyone help ?

I use world remit. It is sent using my UK debit card direct to my BDO account within minutes. It may not be the cheapest but they give a good exchange rate very reasonable charges compared with sending from my UK bank. I then use my BDO card for ATM withdrawals as and when needed.
It is also possible to use world remit to send to, for example, Cebuana so that you can pick up cash. Not sure of rates and charges for that
