Hello everyone,

Which city or area do you live in in Czech Republic, and how do you find the traffic?

How long does it take to commute to work or run errands?

Is there a rush hour in your city? What times of the day would you recommend people to avoid driving if they can?

Are there any ways to avoid spending too much time in traffic in Czech Republic?

What is parking availability and cost like?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hi,
living in Brno, for this size of the city the traffic is quite ok. Public transportation is sufficient to get almost anywhere. It takes max 1/2 an hour to get from city border to the center by tram, bus or trolley bus. Driving is usually faster but thru the morning rush and afternoons when workers return home it might be often longer. Waze app may help a lot. Parking is mostly difficult and when people come home at the end of the day it may become a real nigtmare in several districts. Quite a lot of cars here, so parking is mostly paid in close center, about 30-40CZK (1-1,5EUR) per hour, mostly free 1-2 hours in shopping centers, completely free on those in suburbs.
There's one speciality for this city if you enjoy nightlife periodically - you can get home easily by bus in 1/2h or 1h periods upto midnight or 2am when most  pubs get closed.
