Hello everyone,

Which city or area do you live in in Uganda, and how do you find the traffic?

How long does it take to commute to work or run errands?

Is there a rush hour in your city? What times of the day would you recommend people to avoid driving if they can?

Are there any ways to avoid spending too much time in traffic in Uganda?

What is parking availability and cost like?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hello..
Traffic in Uganda is mainly a lot in the mornings and evening..
A lot of people use Public transportation (Taxi) to go around and it can take up to an hour to reach your destination is the traffic is a lot.
But if you are in a hurry you can use the fastes way of transportation here which is motorcycle for a little bit of money depending how far you are going.
Hope thats helpful.

Kampala traffic is totall chaos.  You fight for every inch.  Hardly any traffic lights..or even worse..a police officer. Then you have to ignore the few lights. They absolutely do not understand traffic at all. So..no rules. You drive on the left..your fellow opponent drives also on your side if that takes him passed the jam..flashing his light so that you go more to the left..where the bodas drive or the sewer 50 cm deep is. So..daily shopping takes up al lot of time..heat..dust of dirt roads..and some strong words. And. As an older..blond woman..some sexisme.
