Does anyone know about the rules for this.
I am moving to Entebbe and I would like to bring my 2008 Mercedes, 1964 antique Mercedes, 2000 Harley, a 6 meter long enclosed trailer and a 2005 Catepillar 216b Skid Steer, and of course all my personal effects.
What can I bring tax and duty free?. What will I expect to pay in duty for the other? How is it calculated, and how do I prove value, if that is necessary.
The vehicles are LHD, is this going to be a problem?

Hi John,
I would suggest that you get in touch with the immigration authorities. They are in a better position to advise. On the other hand, i will try and see if i can find valid information.

All the best.

John, sorry to have to say this but the URA will have a field day with your belongings down in EBB airport.

Each vehicle will cost at least $3000 and they may even tax personal stuff too. And don't expect a set tax rate, i know businesses here who have paid anything from 10% to 40% on items and one guy brought his uk registered volvo over - that was $3500 in tax

Good luck though
