Where to buy a kitchen and have it installed?

Hi,

I've got a new build flat that's a bit bare and needs a kitchen.

Hoping someone on here has been through this before.

In places like the UK you could just go down to a B&Q, HomeBase or similar, put together a kitchen with  the staff and then they could also organise the installation.

What's the best strategy in Vietnam? Has someone done this before? Any recommendations?

Cheers,

JP

Ask ur neibors.  They know

Whatever you do, make sure they have a bubble level and understand that water runs downhill.  We had to be careful about keeping excess water from splashing out of our sink because the counter sloped the wrong way.  Same with our shower floor.  We had to keep a coarse broom there to push the excess water up to the drain.  If they show up without a level, send them back home.

Hi jonasp,
Welcome to the forum!

The cost-efficient way IMO is to buy kitchen accessories from local shops and supermarkets. You have to find a handyman to help you set up your kitchen.

If you're looking for a one-stop kitchen solution, you will definitely end up paying lot more.
There are shops like http://saigonhomekitchen.vn/ or www.hafele.com.vn/en or Vinmus Furniture.
Please ask them if they provide support for installation as well. Probably they do.

Saigon Home kitchen has showrooms in Tan Binh district and D4.

Häfele Phu My Hung Showroom
107 Ton Dat Tien Street
Ho Chi Minh City

Vinmus Furniture

Hope this info helps!
Cheers!

We put a new kitchen in our house this year and we used TuBep (tubep.com / 132 Nguyen Cu Trinh, D1). The service was good (measure, design, material selection, install, warranty) and we were very happy with the result. You could also look at Casta and Hafale. Casta did the apartments at Vinhomes Central Park and the fit and finish looked good in the ones we looked at.

Thanks for all the replies!!

Hm Hafele seems German (never heard of them before though), which seems counter-intuitive... ordering German stuff in a country known for its furniture making industry.
