Me and my husband (Brazilian) are travelling to Brazil from Europe. Our kid's passport will expire may 13. Our departure is November 29. How strict is Brazil with this 6 months rule?

Your kid´s passport expires a few days before the 6 mos is up...

You can renew his passport in Brazil if there´s a Ukranian/Latvian consulate in Brasilia. If he´s got a Brazilian passport it would even be easier.

Like any country, the 6-month rule applies. You can always pay the overstay fine or get out of Brazil before your kid´s passport expires...
