I've seen people who want to leave do really bizzare, crazy things so that they are FIRED.  That way, they don't have to pay for anything!

I completely agree with you, In our company one of the guy went on emergency paid leave and eventually never returned back, that too after taking the salary for that month !!!

MAGIC KINGDOM

Nooooooooooo..  I said crazy, bizarre things!  I heard of a woman who wandered the company compound in sheer lingerie!  Another woman--a devout Christian--wrote a letter to the King suggesting he should embrace Christianity (I don't know if her intent was to get thrown out, but the way I understand it, she was on a flight 24 hours later lol).

But it doesn't even have to be bizarre.  Just come to work late every day.  Leave early.  Have 2 hour coffee breaks.  Talk on your cell phone during meetings.  If you're a teacher, write tests everybody fails so they'll complain.  Hell, actually all you have to do is disrespect your manager in front of others and you'll have one foot out the door!

The issue  I  have with the company  is the shift. We  work either  a split  shift  or  a stright  shift. Currently i  am  working  a 12 to  8  shift  and  it  is not  suitable. Also I  want to work  at  a Uni and the company  currently  does not  have Uni contracts. The  Ss  and  staff (teachers)at the academy are  great, so  sad  to  be leaving them.

Reason  for me wanting to  leave.

Thanks Alliecat , for the info as well as the well wishes.

Pls contact me at my email and I will give you a couple of good contacts: shahzada.1978@hotmail.com. Good luck.

the reason why staff are leaving AETG is the simple fact of lack of respect for their teachers, no communication whatsoever from the managers, the housing is below par, if they can save money by cutting corners and over working you they will.

polkadot 3 - it is a shame that you are not being straight to the point of what makes AETG a company that is left to be desired...

In2Deep,

I have no complaints with the housing, we  have a nice place, but  not  all teachers are  given the same quality of  accomodation.

I  agree  with the fact that  management  is not  the most efficient  bunch around.

My  issues  are  the work hours, and the fact  that  they  do not pay the best. What  ever  company u  work for in Saudi, you  are  going to have the same issues  with Management, do  not  think any  Saudi company is going to  be perfect.Western and Eastern culture  and  values differ  vastly.

Hello sane people seeking slef respectable work with decent upright human beings. Keep your sanity and avoid going anywhere near this AETG. There are amongst them some NOT ALL, crazy people!

saudi culture is controlling and non sensical (im a muslim male), but whats worse is that the westerners that come to AETG for work and remain are normally of three categories: 1. those who are western muslims and want to live a life in which practising their religion is easy. 2. those who are non muslim and are passing by on their travels around the world. 3. Those who wouldnt have a chance in the world of getting a job anyhwere else in the world because of reasons like there emotitonal or physical conditions.

We have managers from the west who have left there western morals. principles and values and have become just as dictators themselves.

Im happy im out of this nonesense! Stay away from RAFI AND JIM! Management has changed in the academy and its become worse than ever before!

There currently recruiting like crazy because the majority of the staff would leave if they found another opportunity elsewhere.

Totally agree with this! That was my experience when I was working there. The management is very disorganized. Also, they bring you over saying that you are going to work at Princess Noura and then they send you to the academy. The students complain about just about anything including the color of their teacher's skin. The student's word is above the teachers 95% of the time.

The company makes it really easy for you to get here but they sure do make it difficult for anyone who is leaving. I am sure there are a number of past teachers that would agree to that statement. There are a lot of lies and and a lot of "inshallah"s thrown around which to them seems to mean not God willing but F* off.

The accommodation for single women are ok however, there are a lot of repairs that need to be done. Also the gym there is terrible and unsafe. When you see the accommodations that other expats have you feel pretty cheated actually. Although there are some companies that have put their employees in hotels but those same companies also will provide a housing allowance if you find your own accommodations. With AETG its their accommodations or nothing.

There are a lot of disorganized companies in Saudi Arabia, I will give you that, however there are some that actually know how to show some respect for their employees and not breath out lies every chance they get and find ways to cheat their employees and their students. I wouldn't recommend working for AETG unless of course you are one of those three categories wooo mentioned.  If you have any sanity look elsewhere.

@AETGsucks  Did you come to this forum before, using a different screen name, before coming to KSA?

^ I personally don't care if the person has used a different screen name before. If the person has gone so far to create an account with that name, then I know how much AETG has screwed them.

@Lanara   You have taken it upon yourself to try to second guess what I was asking and while you might not 'personally care,' I do.  I asked about a previous name because I wanted to know what happened BEFORE her bad experiences with AETG.

In other words, I was interested in knowing if she had prior knowledge of what was being said about them?  What it was that made her decide to go with them? What they said to her that convinced her to trust them? I wanted the BACK story because I think it could benefit the people reading this right now who might be thinking that what people say about AETG is just disgruntled grumbling.

I have no personal experience with AETG but when enough people are saying the same thing, I tend to believe it's the truth.  I have made this point in my posts concerning them.

ACID333 - I know what you mean...AETG are bad, bad, bad - you are right though they do pay on time - BUT, the way they think their teachers are happy, they must be crazy stupid and DO NOT CARE at all - it is a shame as all goes well if you have no issues/problems/questions - IF you do then BEWARE nothing will be answered or resolved and that is when they throw ********.
Again if you want to do a 'quickie' and make okay tax free money, FINE, but no way should you stay with AETG unless you are desperate and weak...

When there is constant turn-over in an institution or organization, you don't want to touch it with a ten foot pole!
