Thanks for your advice and do you know how much do I need to show incom a month and will be able to apply after 3 months or do I need to wait 6 months before I apply for visa.

Guys

I am from India & i wanted to understand process for getting Belgium dependent Visa for my wife.

My employer's consultant yesterday informed me that my Work Permit application has been approved and they are going to send me a scanned copy of it through email.

My few concerns:

1. Original Copy of Work Permit is listed as per VFS required documentation. Do i need to ask the Consultant to send me the original one ?

2. Can i go ahead for my Wife's application alongwith me in VFS OR is there an approval process from Belgium ?

3. On one document from my Consultant, i saw there is a requirement to pay 200 Euros to Belgian Internal affairs which is different to VFS admin costs of 180 Euros. Is this correct ?

All in all, i am fairly sure of my process but i have no idea the process for my wife's visa application process. Can anybody help me in understanding the whole process for Spouse visa.

aneesh

1. Yes you need to ask your employer to send you the original wp by courier.

2. You can apply together.

3. Yes

SamSas

Hi Aneeshks

Thanks for your reply.
Is there any approval process for my wife separately. What i mean to ask is that when i was looking through some other posts, i got confused on waiting times on spouse. Is that for a different process ?

From your previous response, i am feeling i will only need to ask my consultant to send the original WP and share the receipt of Payment of 200 Eur towards Belgian internal affairs. Rest i can manage myself without any issues.

aneesh

Everything is in the previous responses in the forum.. you can file the application together. Your file wil be straightforward as you apply with WP. It wil be approved within 5 working days. For your wife: If consulate can make a decision locally on your wife's file, she too will get visa with your visa. if consulate cannot make a decision on your wife's file, or if they feel there is additional investigation needed, the file will be sent to Belgium and if that is the case, it will take months for the decision.

If your paperwork is perfect, both of you will get visa together.

Hi Aneeshks

Thanks for your time.
We got our application approved in 3 days only from VFS excluding the weekend. That was fast.

I was so full of questions & your support in referring to earlier posts helped me a lot. Thanks again.

aneesh

Awesome ! Welcome to Belgium..

phipiemar

Here again is the demonstration that when a file is well prepared, the procedure can be fast.

Hi... I live in a shared apartment with 2 more girls. The apartment is huge and has 2 bedrooms. I want to apply a dependent visa for my husband. Since the visa processing takes a lot of time, can I use my current rental agreement for visa application? Do I absolutely need an agreement with only my name on it?

aneesh

It is always better to have a rental contract on your name.

Hello! I have just received a confirmation on my Professional card application and I am currently based in India. I would like to apply for the visa alongwith my husband (dependant visa). I see from the thread that it is better to apply for visa together as opposed to arriving in Belgium and applying for a reunification. Since my status is self-employed, I will have to do the paperwork myself. Hence trying to get advice on the best thing to do.

Hello sir
I have read a lot of comments from people had the same situation as me but I didn’t read any answer from them to explain what the decision they received from Belgium
I have the same SMS that some other had which is
(
Awaiting receipt of documents supporting the visa application sent by diplomatic bag by diplomatic / consular post) and the ambassy called me asking doucement , I already sent it to them ( the same document that they asked me)
My question is
Did that mean they will give me a positive answer later .
Or not
Thank you sir

Dear Khaled,

Having all the right documents it took 3 months for my wife to get her visa.
She applied on the 23rd February and got the visa on May 27th.

This was with the administrative delay being 6 months to 15 months.

So when you had to submit the documents the second time it can be delayed by a week or two normally and not more than that.

And about getting a positive answer, it all depends on the documents.

All the best

Guys I need your help I'm a silent reader of this forum since 2017.
I applied my long stay art10 visa on 14 January 2019
to join my husband and it's been 8 month i didn't receive any response and there is no change in visa status on Belgium immigration website it is still showing En treatment and now my husband has Belgium nationality he received his Belgiun ID card this month.
the thing is my husband rent an apartment for my visa application with 1 year contract which is started from November 2018 and now only 3 month left for contract to expire so what should I do for this ? If we renew apartment contract for 1 year again  should we have to give new lease agreement to them? Will they accept this ?

aneesh

yes, any change in residency or stay must be updated to the ministry. Your husband can send his new ID card, passport copy and new rental contract to the ministry, quoting the reference number of your file.

Nazijannat2

He already sent an email to ministry with scan copy of his new ID card but he didn't apply for his Belgium passport yet. Is it necessary to give them passport scan copy as well?
And about apartment we thought that they will process visa application within a year that's why he rent an apartment only for one year but now I don't think they will process it before 15 months 😶

aneesh

ID should be enough. But when your partner applies for a passport, do send  a scanned copy to ministry too (they will know anyway form his national number, his status, but why leave any chance). And, whenever he renews the lease of the apartment, send a copy of that too.

Nazijannat2

Thank you aneesh for your quick response 🙂

May I ask - are you still waiting?  8 mo sounds like a very long time.   I would recommend contacting an immigration attorney if it’s still not processed.   Check with Fragoman group perhaps.   I’m a European national and the process took 4 mo for the visa and registration was another 3 mo once they arrived.   Just a suggestion.

Hello and Welcome on our forum,

As for any forum, it is requested to READ the site charter. In order to avoid certain clumsiness.

Therefore, you would have avoided this remark:
- This question has already been asked hundreds of times and answered so many times.

In conclusion, thank you for reading:
- Guides published by the forum. They can be found under the "discover" tab.
- Old discussions which can even be filtered through the magnifying glass located next to your avatar.

And the informations you are requesting are ALL on Belgian Embassy website.

However, since Belgium only has an honorary consul in The Gambia, you will need to refer to the Belgian Embassy in Senegal.

Hi,
Does anyone knows the usual time period it takes to receive a Belgian dependent spouse visa for a Non-EU partner when applied from Delhi. I applied on 23.11.2021, my documents are still processing at Belgian Embassy.

Thank you.

Kendy Makere

Also waiting since november

fatiht

Did you apply together with your spouse or did you apply separately?

soumyadipbabi

They say it can take max 15months ☹️
I am too awaiting from December

Syama018

I have applied separately. He has been living there for a while now.

stzhou23

hi soumyadipbabi, I also got ibz's reply saying it usually takes 9 months, 15 months maxim. But I think on the IVF's website it states 2 weeks-9months. Don't know why it can take up to 15 months, it's too long... :(

soumyadipbabi

Yaa 15months is way too long ☹️

ashwinmenon.v

My wife also applied on the 9th it November last year and we are also still waiting since the last 4 months. From the other posts here I feel that they are still working on other pending applications before November. Frustrating but unfortunately nothing can be done.

asifawar5563

When it is registered in ibz

ashwinmenon.v

My wife got her visa application approved yesterday (10th March). I guess they have now started to process November 2021 applications. Good luck to everyone here who are waiting!

Kendy Makere

@ashwinmenon  which date did your wife apply? Was it family reunitication- Dvisa?
Also when did u first see a status change on ibz website?
