Try LinkedIN. I would assume that your Chinese is perfect. You should NOT have any problem. Shanghai, however is not the best fit for your career. I would suggest Shenzhen. Design jobs are plentiful there.

Thanks for the response. I've tried linkedin but there were very few results for industrial design based jobs locating in Shanghai or Shenzhen on the website. If you have any further connections please let me know! I'm particularly interested in designing tech products or wearable technology. I'm fluent in Chinese, but surprisingly enough, English is my mother tongue.
